Here at Reed Digital, we fully understand the importance of protecting the environment for generations to come, which is why we have recently become a part of the Woodland Carbon scheme to reflect our desire to address an environmental issue close to home. This is an accredited and award winning scheme that has been set up under the Government’s 2011 Woodland Carbon Code and is one that we are delighted to be involved in.

The Woodland Carbon scheme works in the following manner;

•    When we place an order for paper with our supplier, we have elected to capture the carbon from the manufacturing and distribution of this paper.

•    The CO₂ generated from our order in relation to both the production and delivery processes is then calculated.

•    A price is attributed to this figure, which is then added to the order invoice. This additional cost that we pay goes directly to the Woodland Trust who then plant new trees in any one of their accredited woodland creation sites around the UK.

As we are now a carbon capture company, we can display the Woodland Carbon logo on our website, as you will see above, so all of our customers can see that we are committed to protecting our environment by mitigating carbon emissions through the planting of new trees.

By providing a reduced carbon solution, both us as a company and the customers who purchase our products can feel confident in the fact that we are all giving something back to the environment by creating new woodland to remove potentially harmful carbon dioxide from the environment.

If you’d like to find out more about this scheme, please feel free to give us a call today on 01473 216333 or visit the Woodland Carbon website where you can discover more on what the scheme entails and the long terms benefits of it.
